card. jamie costello, abc2 news. a government report finds good news when it comes to prescription drug abuse. among young adults use is down. the study show as 14% drop for 18 to 25-year-olds last year. public education initiatives and drug monitoring programs are being credited for the decline. the fight against the west nile virus continues in baltimore county. mosquitoes carry west nile, transmitting it into humans through bites. most people with west nile present with mild flu symptoms. people in the area should stay indoors during the spraying. it will take place after 7:30 tomorrow night as long as the weather is decent.

if you're in the market for a home, you know that prices are creching up. recently released data shows the average price of homes in major markets are at a nine-year high. average home prices went up 1.6% between june and july, returning prices to their best level in nine years. the price increase is being credited to record low mortgage rates and tighter supply of homes that are available for sale. >> let's take you out to the yard. a few of the clouds drifting in as forecasted. got a great cloud down there. lots of orange. seems like they can hear us. got people waving at us. you're on tv. we're dealing with a really nice skyline. 73 degrees at bwi. humidity is in check at 4% that.

clouds. that will allow for our daytime highs to get into the 70s. the question is does this front come back toward the north as we head into friday and the weekend. the indications are, that's the potential. so here's the forecast model. a few of the spotty showers coming in. tomorrow morning's commute, you'll run into a spot shower. there's going to be showers that push in late in the afternoon on wednesday going into wednesday evening before this front starts to shift toward the south. in terms of what to expect future temperature wise, into the 60s. 64 at 11:00. your overnight lows much mild per in comparison to last night. temperatures tomorrow lower 80s in many locations. d.c. around 84 degrees. it's going to be a mild afternoon as we segue into the and of the week. turning cloudy with the showers. i think the showers come in
